Plane travel with 2 month old advice?

Any tips or suggestions you have for first time flying with our 2 month old? He has already received his first round of vaccines, I plan on traveling with some breast milk. I just don’t know what to expect and I am nervous!

I'm a crew member and a new 1st time parent. I'm not yet hip to all the best baby advice, but I will say this:
1. bring a pacifier and or bottles to use or feed during takeoff, climb and decent and landing. Air pressure changes in the cabin are usually pretty smooth, but keeping that baby's jaw moving will help equalize inner ear pressure. Also, as air pressure decreases in the climb, trapped gasses inside the body expand. I'd think about using some baby gas drops prior to departure.
2. Bring a packet of Wet Wipes or Clorox wipes and wipe down EVERYTHING near your seat that you or the baby plan to touch. That includes the tray table and latch, seat belt buckle, arm rests and recline button, air vent gasper, and window shade. Its flu season.
3. Children under 2 fly free as a lap child, and you should be fine holding your sleeping infant, but you do have the option of purchasing a seat and installing an approved car seat for your child if you like. Me personally, I'd wrap that kid up in a mobi or baby Bjorn and chill.
4. Your stroller will be checked at the gate and dropped off in the jet bridge just prior to boarding. When the gate agent calls for pre boarding of people with special needs or small children, jump to the front of the line and get in and settled. The agent will give you a big plastic bag for your stroller and you will pick it up on the jet bridge at your destination, or between flights if you are connecting. Any questions, just ask the agent or flight attendants.
5. DO NOT CHANGE YOUR BABY'S DIAPER ON THE TRAY TABLE AT YOUR SEAT. Even if you have the whole row to yourself.
6. DO NOT GIVE YOUR DIRTY DIAPER TO THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT.
7. Go to the lavatory and change on the changing table if needed. Remember to dispose of the diaper in the trash, don't try to flush it.
8. Just use common sense. You'd be surprised how many people immediately become mentally challenged as soon as they step foot in a airport terminal or on an aircraft.
9. Some small jets only have an extra oxygen mask for a lap child on one side of the plane. Ask your ticket or gate agent of you're on the correct side.
10. Finally, I've seen some parents do some pretty slick things while traveling with babies. A few have taken ziplock bags and filled it with a few candies, ear plugs, and a small note that explains that you have an infant that may get fussy. That little extra effort for your seatmates or business travelers near you goes a LONG WAY. Good luck!

It should be a breeze. 👍🏾 We took our daughter on her first flight when she was three months. Traveling with young babies are pretty easy. Nurse or give bottle of breast milk during takeoff. As far as traveling with breast milk, I have never had any issues with it. Also, I recommend taking extra clothing, onesie, etc. in your carry-on as well as toys just in case your baby does not sleep during the trip. For the airport, a carrier is so convenient for maneuvering. We started purchasing our daughter a seat when she was six months, but before that, we held her. You can check your car seat stroller in if you want to. Good luck 👍🏾

I flew when my son was 7 weeks.
The wrap was great but I had to take him out for takeoff and landing.
He slept for most of the flight which was great.
Take the whole diaper bag when changing them in the bathroom. I just took diapering stuff and my son peed all over himself. Side note- puke bags are great impromptu wet bags.

I flew when my oldest was two months old the Brest milk they had me open 3 bags and they waved a stick over it and I put it back. Baby did awesome slept the whole time I just gave a pacifier during take off and landing so his ears would pop. When we landed I had a lot of people look at me and go “oh I didn’t even know there was a baby on board he was so quiet” 😊 I would love to fly with a little one again I don’t have any desire to take my 2 year old on a plane haha

Dont stress too much! Im a FTM an i took my 6 week old on a 36hr flight. Main thing feed take off an landing if you can if baby is sleeping leave them sleeping. Extra clothes just incase for either end 😂 and a change of clothes for yourself! If you have some form of carrier will be helpful so you can be hands free!
