Breast pump fit?

Question

How do you know if the breast pump fits your breast and not to big or to small?   I know the manual shows pictures but I’m sorry I don’t understand them.  🙁.  How do I know if I’m using the right size?!

In my experience lactation consultants aren’t very experienced with fitting a breast shield or flange. I was “fitted” several times incorrectly by multiple LC’s. 
Measure the diameter of the nipple at the base of the nipple. You'll want to select a flange size that is 2-3mm larger than this measurement. Its important to measure after you've pumped because you'll want a flange size that leaves adequate room for your nipple to expand. 
This cut out helped me find the right size and it’s made a world of difference.

A lactation consultant will be able to make sure they are properly fitted. If you don’t have access to a LC, there is a great Facebook group called Breast, Bottle and Beyond run by lactation consultants. If you message them with videos of you pumping they will help you.
