Hi ladies,

My OB called me last night (3 weeks since my D&C), stated that my blood work came back from lab, and that I had a molar pregnancy.

Apparently, 2 sperm implanted, but only 69 chromosomes took place (one person has 46; 2 should should have been 92; so this is like 1.5)- I guess the rest was bad tissue. The baby wouldn’t have stood a chance, which is horribly sad.

Am I understanding what my OB said correctly? Does anyone have more information they could share about their knowledge of molar pregnancy?

The science behind it is complicated (in my mind). Anything would be helpful.
