Period 5 days late

So my period is 5 days late. Monday I took a test and it was negative.

3 weeks ago I was on antibiotics and a steroid for pneumonia.

Have any of you ladies had medication cause you to be that late? When I talked to her on the phone yesterday, my OBGYN said to test next week if my period doesn’t come.
