A few months ago my in laws started planning a wedding for my BIL and his girlfriend who are both 17/18 years old! I didn’t agree with the idea but kept my mouth shut as it was none of my business. The wedding was supposed to be for this month then suddenly in October they changed the date a good 4 times I would say. They ended up just moving in together and not getting married. My problem is that people helped out with money! I didn’t want to but my husband of course didn’t want them to “talk bad” about him for not helping. I stayed out of it and later found out he gave them $200!!! When they said they weren’t doing a wedding after all I immediately told my husband we needed that money back ASAP! They said they were going to make arrangements so they could pay everyone back this month but now they’re using the venue they had put a deposit on so they can make a birthday party for my husband little sister! I am beyond annoyed and have told my in laws myself I am not allowing my husband to pay for that unnecessary party because I didn’t agree with anything to begin with! They keep ignoring us now after not only they sent out invites to the little sisters party already, my in laws and BIL have new cars. And the money that was given to the for the WEDDING is completely gone!
