So the doctor i have been using has been great but my insurance changes january 1 and my doctor doesn't accept this insurance anymore. But it was ok because the obgyn group i had 5 years ago accepted my new insurance and i loved it there...

I called to confirm the insurance and they said i need to send a copy of my medical records to see if they want to accept me as a patient. Well this made me nervous, why wouldnt they accept me as a patient? Now im worried about this switch. Ill be 17 weeks by jan 1.

Is this just protocol?
