Mine wasn’t any worse than a regular period. My ob said while she was in there she cleaned it out. She will be doing this next csection also.

I only bleed for about a week and a half. The first couple of days were heavier, but after it was more of a light flow. And then just spotting.

Yes, the bleeding is from where the placenta was attached and lasts until it heals. I bled like a heavy period for the first 5 days or so, then it was a lot lighter but still about 6 weeks. Then my periods returned 2 weeks after that.

I bled for 6 weeks after my C. Heavy and stinky blood for the first 2 weeks then it lightened up.

I had a c section and I barely bled if you would even call it bleeding. I never used the maternity pads or overnight pads. Alls I used was a panty liner for the first week or so cause I would maybe have a drip or two every 8 hrs or so. My OB literally scrapes the uterus clean during the section. Which leads to very minimal bleeding. As you can tell by the answers above I guess this isn’t standard.
