No, they are not considered safe. Nothing should be between baby and car seat unless it came with the car seat. Shower cap style covers are awesome (and safe) for infant car seats.

Technically, nothing is supposed to be added inside the car seat unless it’s approved by the manufacturer of the car seat. We just get our baby buckled in and then tightly tuck the blanket all around her lower body. She likes it like that.

Not safe. Anything added between the carseat and the baby is a no no. Blanket on top of baby and tucked on the sides (but not underneath) does the same thing. There’s no need to have extra padding from that swaddle under the baby.

I’m having my friend make me one of those car seat ponchos for my little lady! 😍 but I wouldn’t think that would be safe swaddling the baby like that but I’m no professional so I’m not to sure.?!

Absolutely not. Never ever buy anything for a car seat from Etsy. These are literally just random people making cute items from home. They're not safety tested in any way. If it didn't come with the car seat, you cannot use it.
