Faint positives turned out to be a chemical pregnancy.

I found out last Sunday that I was pregnant! I couldn’t believe it! My husband and I had been trying to conceive for over 3 years. I wasn’t even sure if I could still get pregnant because I had a tubal ligation after my twins were born (the doctors performed the surgery while I wasn’t in the right frame of mind and I stupidly agreed to a ligation). But I had TWO tubal reversals (one in 2016 and another on my left tube in 2018). Month after month, my husband and I tried everything we could to get pregnant, but we weren’t successful until my last cycle. I was three days late for my period (which should’ve started on November 8th) and something told me that I was pregnant, so I took a pregnancy test and saw two lines show up. I was over the moon and in complete awe of my blessing! Fast forward to a couple days later when I tested again for reassurance, and realized my lines were getting lighter. My doctor checked both my hcg and progesterone levels on Tuesday and both were low, and he was honest with me about the possibility of it not being a viable pregnancy. I got the tests repeated today and found out that my hcg levels dropped to a 20 and my progesterone rose to a 7. My doctor said I had a chemical pregnancy. I don’t feel achy or uncomfortable, and I haven’t experienced any spotting or bleeding yet. I just don’t feel pregnant anymore. I’m wondering if any other ladies have been in similar shoes and how long did it take for them to try again to conceive? Did you try the very next cycle? Wait it out for a few months? And what should I expect in terms of bleeding what my doctor described as “a few cells”? Will it be like a period or lighter? Did you experience a lot of discomfort? And how long after your early miscarriage did it take for your body to expel what was left? Sorry for all the questions, but I have no idea what to expect.
