What does birth smell like ?

I’m almost ready to pop and I’m obsessed with reading birth stories , can’t wait till I’m holding my bundle of joy sharing my experience with you all ☺️ but I’m curious does giving birth have a smell ? Lol I know a lot of blood and fluids come out of u a lot of people on different posts explained the smell as distinct

I honestly don’t remember any type of smell except the coffee breath of my delivery doctor. 😂😩 I remember that because I never drank coffee my entire 24 years of living and got pregnant and craved it. So when he came in with that breath, I was like “I SMELL IT” 😂😂😂😂

I just remember the smell of blood, very metallic. My daughter smelled so sweet!

I cant recall there being a smell, your to focus in giving birth that you block out smell well at least i did. So i asked my partner his respons : vigina😂 (okayy i showered and had 2 bath that day, but if you say so) blood and sweat.

Lochia. It’s the uterus shedding/ bleeding that happens and to me that’s what birth smelled like and my daughter did too since she was in there I guess. It’s very earthy but has a unique smell. Not like blood or at all like a period. I can’t describe it.

I remember metallic smell, like copper, of blood. I remember intense earthy smell, like the forest after a rain. I remember intense body odor as I labored for about 40 hours. I remember vetiver qne frankincense, as my sister massaged these into my lower back. My babe smelled like buttermilk or homemade popcorn (not the Popsecret fake butter smell) or sweet cream.

Lochia has a weird smell to it. I don’t like it. I had an emergency c section whilst doped up on morphine so don’t remember the actual delivery.
