Folate vs. Folic Acid
2nd baby- midwife insisted that I find prenatal with Folate only, no folic acid. I did (after much searching) and it costs more than $1/ day! Seems like if CVS, Walgreens and Wal-Mart only have the folic acid type- it can't be that bad.
Does anyone know anything about this debate? My OB with first baby said folic acid was important at conception but not that big of a deal for rest of pregnancy. Recommended One-a-Days.
