Sex helps labor ?

I read some posts online that says sex especially in the last few weeks helps when ur in labor the sperm “ripens” the cervix ? How true is it

It's very true! It can also trigger contractions and make them worse. My OB wrote me off of sex for 2 weeks when I was having preterm contractions because it can help your body go into labor.

Supposed to be true, I think semen has prostaglandins in it (which help ripen the cervix). I coerced my hubby into two times the day before I was to be induced with my first. Didn’t work for us and man is sex uncomfortable/awkwarf at 39+6 😂

Very true and science says so. 
The sperm your partner ejaculates inside you is full of prostaglandins that ripen and soften your cervix, preparing it for labor. Prostaglandins are actually used for induction purposes, also known as the medication cervadil.
