Every time I think about his age I’m subtracting two months since he was two months early. So at his 9 month checkup I was telling myself he’s really 7 months and as we are approaching his first birthday I find myself thinking “well, he’s really only 10 months.”

My SO made a joke that when he turns 16 I’ll be like, well, he’s really only 15 and 10 months. 😂 But I don’t know when I’ll stop thinking of him as younger than his actual age. They already stopped correcting his age at the pediatrician’s office but I still seem to be hanging onto it.
