Dehydration?

Has anybody had experience with dehydration in pregnancy? This is the first pregnancy that I’ve experienced severe vomiting (all the time). My stomach can’t even keep a sip of water. I feel horrible. Are there any ways to help or manage it?

Yes, ended up in the hospital, IV and Zofran helped me 100%

If you cant keep anything down  you should go to the ER. Not good for you or the baby

Last weekend I thought I had the flu. My fiance called my ob and they told him to take me to the hospital. I wasn't happy and did not want to go but I am SO glad I did. I was more dehydrated than I realized and I had a kidney infection. They said it's super common to get women coming in for severe nausea. The iv fluids and nausea meds will make you feel so much better. They may even give you a small script of zofran until you can get in to see your doctor. I highly recommend B6 & unisom if your insurance won't cover zofran.

I’ve been the same way. I was only drinking Gatorade but then I started throwing that up too. 
I went to the doc and they gave me some meds to try to ease my nausea. Zofran has worked wonders! Definitely ask for it. I can drink water now🙌🏼 and eat!!

The only thing I can suggest is going to hospital to have a drip of fluids. This is the only thing that helped me. You'll feel better for a couple of days then. Your body may be producing ketones which is caused by dehydration. If you have ketones in your urine, you'll need to go on a drip. Many women have to do this who have hyperemesis or severe sickness. You can also ask your midwife or doctor to prescribe anti sickness medication if you let them know how bad you are.
The only thing that I found is I can't keep water down for the life of me. I drink squash instead and lemonade (caffeine free one). Take small sips throughout the day. Or eat lots of melon as they are full of water. 
I'm just under 11 weeks now and have only just started to feel better. Although I'm sure it will come back at some point. Good luck :) xx
