Any half or full marathoners out there?
Hi ladies! I’m in the process of training for a half marathon with the eventual goal of competing a full marathon after that. I’ve found a training program I’m comfortable with and my husband is doing this with me. I’m just looking for any advice or other people’s experiences with this. What are some things you wish you knew before completing your half or full marathon? Have you done both and how do they compare? Was one easier than the other and if so, in what way?
A little back story to my query... I have bipolar I and spent many years with the wrong diagnosis and treatment plan/wrong medication plan. I’ve since gotten my mental health on the right track, am in graduate school, have lost 65 pounds and have an amazing relationship with my husband. Basically I felt like a prisoner of my own brain for so long that now that I’m doing well I feel like I have to soak up every available experience out there in life and not take a day for granted. I used to hate running and I’m not good at it, but I’m persistent. I also know that my pace will improve the more I train and lose more weight as well.
