Currently breastfeeding (trying to) my 5 month old baby girl. Since birth she has had issues. Bloody, mucus poops and horrible gas and lots of crying. I stopped drinking regular whole milk and switched to almond milk, that helped a bit. My doctor says I can eat/drink anything I want to except alcohol of course while breastfeeding but he’s full of crap. I’ve been giving her nutramigen , a hypoallergenic formula which seems to do the trick but I have not been able to completely cut dairy out of my diet so she is still having issues,, breastfeeding is so much more convenient since I co sleep with her. I feel like I need to stop nursing her because she is so miserable.she screams til she passes her gas or has a poop and it’s just awful. Has anyone else been through this? Any tips?
