Am I wrong to be a little upset with her?
So this past weekend was my birthday. I’m a single mom and I honestly didn’t do anything special. I went and got a mani/pedi and then went to my moms for dinner and cheesecake. My sister was working 9-5 and came over afterward. She didn’t bring me a card or anything or a present. Which I’m not really one to complain. We live together so it was whatever. But then all she does is have some pizza, a piece of cheesecake and then proceeds to ask “can I take a couple pieces of cheesecake to my friends at work?”
Like, excuse me what?
You want to take some of MY birthday cheesecake to YOUR friends who I don’t really know?
I gave her a look and said “A COUPLE?!” And she proceeds to say “I don’t see why it’s a big deal.”
Like hold up, I felt that was totally rude. She didn’t do anything for me for my birthday and now she wants to take my cake to HER friends. Side note, she’s 18 and she does everything for her friends. Spends money and buys them concert tickets, drives them around and has even been late to work because she was doing a favor for them.
I always try to buy her a gift for her birthday and celebrate with her. But I get nothing in return?
Am I wrong for snapping at her for wanting to take my cheesecake to her friends?
