Anyone have a fantastic recipe for Thanksgiving?

Does anyone have an easy but fantastic recipe they always use for Thanksgiving? Not main dishes but recommendations for side dishes, drinks, or desserts? 
I'm having dinner with the in laws and I would really like to bring something but I have zero recipes.

Candies yams is the easiest thing to make. I make it every year. Chopped sweet potatoes, not to big but not to small, a stick of butter chopped and spread about, about 1/4 cup of brown sugar sprinkled about, sprinkle of salt,bake in oven covered @375 for about 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender enough to poke with a fork. Remove cover, spread mini marshmallows all over the top and bake uncovered for about 10 minutes until marshmallows are meaty and toasty looking. 🙂

For a side dish, you could do Shoepeg Corn. You buy three cans of corn (depending on how many people there are) some cream cheese and some jalapeños. You could put how many ever jalapeños you want, depending on how spicy you want it. It’s pretty good. Most of my friends have never had it but like it.
