I’m 34 weeks, my baby will be born in sometime December. My boyfriends mom said she wanted to plan everything.. i said okay even though i have major anxiety about thought maybe it’ll be less stress if someone else does do it. Anyways, she says the shower will November 24. Right after thanksgiving.. i said No! That’ll be hard for a lot of people because they work Black Friday and it’ll be crazy, not only that but it doesn’t give me enough time to get things i didn’t receive at the shower. Like a crib or whatever. As i said before i get major anxiety and need to plan things ahead. She says that’s the only time she has off to plan everything and “she has 30 people that already said they’re going”... i said whatever.. even though it’s my shower and I’d like my family to be there not so much people she knew and worked with that i didn’t even know.. i let it go and make the invitations and send them out with the date. 40$ later. She then says she’s going to BJ’s to get food and cups and supplies, she comes back with one set of forks, cups, and plates and rice. She gets a plain cake with no decorations on it and she said she’ll do it herself because it’ll cost way more. I said okay..? She said you owe me 250$ for everything.. i told my so why are we paying for this stuff when she said she wants to do it? WHATEVER I GIVE HER THE 250!!! Going broke already because we just paid for the hall that was 350!! I look in the fridge and say where’s the meat? Where’s the sauce? Where’s all the stuff she was going to cook? My so said she has it, it’s gonna he okay. The foods gonna be all set. I get super mad because what was the fucking 250$ for? She said the cake was 100$ how was a plain cake 100$ when i had a designed cake for 30 people that was only 65? She calls today and says she needs 100$ for food!! I flipped!!! So pretty much i gave her 250$ for crackers for HER house, waters she kept in HER car, rice only thing for the shower, and chips that her younger son kept in his room and a bunch of frozen quick dinners when i looked at the recite. So i pretty much paid for her house dinners.. and a half ass cake i didn’t want.. MIND YOU SHE USED HER EBT CARD!!! And asked for 250$ in cash. I could’ve done this all myself, got everything cheap with the cake i wanted & got food. I’m so fucking mad right now and feel like I’m getting played on my fucking money and my SO isn’t doing shit.
