Getting my belly button pierced!?

I'm thinking about getting my belly button pierced for Christmas, I'm 14. I was just wondering if theres anything I should know or do before? Not sure if I put this in the right group either so.

1) Go to a professional, don’t do it yourself or have a friend do it. 
2) Don’t use externally threaded jewelry, find internally threaded jewelry. External jewelry rips the inside of your skin every time you change it thus making it harder to heal and more prone to hypertrophic scarring. 
3) Don’t use jewelry from Claire’s, Hot Topic, Spencer’s, or any other cheap jewelry place (the jewelry can break down in your skin). Always buy it from a reputable shop. 
4) Don’t touch it or let anyone else touch it until it’s healed. 
5) Accept that you’ll have a scar on your stomach for the rest of your life. 
And lastly, 
6) Listen to your piercers aftercare instructions.

I didn't get mine until i was 18, i think your too young for one,  just my opinion!!

I got mine when I was 18 bc my mom told me no all the time before that🤷‍♀️ just keep it clean and dont change until about 6 months

Have you talked to your parents about this? I had mine pierced twice and it got infected and never healed both times. I no longer want one and I’m glad that I don’t have one because my belly stretched SO much when I was pregnant.

i don't see why not if you want one, you can take it out if you decide you don't in the future. i know a bunch of people who got that peircing at your age. as long as yr willing to keep up with the after care
