How many moms have delivered over a 9lb baby?

Tell me your story please. I’m 37 and 4 and as of last Friday she is projected to weigh 9lbs 4oz. So by the time I hit 39 weeks and can be induced she will probably be over 10 lbs.

My brother was 10lb 15oz,
My mum said it was an easy birth because he was able to help himself with his weight. She only had a graze, no need to stitches.

My doctor wants me to have an elective c section and I’m terrified because it was 100% not in my plans. They are thinking she will be around 11 lbs when I can be induced (39 weeks) next Thursday.

Mine was 14 days overdue, 9 lbs 7 oz.  had an epidural and did end up getting an episiotomy also.  Labour was 25 hrs and pushed for one.

Well not over 9lbs but exactly 9lbs... Don't fret too much, measurements can be wayyy off, my 9lb baby was supposed to be something crazy like 12lbs... My OB said probably not gonna be that big but there is a margin of error 🤷

My biggest was  10lb 6oz 39 wks , 10lb 4 oz 40 wks, 9lbs 3oz 38wks, my smallest was 8lb 1 oz, this one was estimated 7lbs 8 oz at 36 weeks.

My son was 9 lbs 8oz, no exaggeration I pushed twice and he was born. My MIL left the delivery room and my husband called her 5 minutes later saying come back he’s here. He was my second, and delivery was soooo much easier with him.

Not my story, but my best friend delivered a 10lb 2oz baby in August. Natural, no interventions or induction. Her labor lasted 54 hours. She had some hemorrhaging also and some tearing but nothing too horrible. It’s amazing what our bodies are capable of.
