Tubal?

Question

I’m supposed to have a tubal ligation when I’m 4 weeks postpartum, right now I’m not even a week out. I’m having second thoughts though is my problem. 
The big thing is is I am done having babies, I’m too old to have more and my husband is adamant that he does not want another, we have two together and he has one from a previous relationship.
I need help to being ok again with having a tubal done. Anybody have any advice or insight for me?

Get an IUD.  No hormones, lasts up to 10 years. Bada bing bada boom.

It doesn’t affect you other than not getting pregnant again. Don’t get your tubes tied or clamped, have them removed. Any birth control that has to be placed in you has the chance of moving and causing problems. 
A vasectomy is able to reverse itself so you getting your tubes taken out is your best chance of not getting pregnant again.

Is he able to have a vesectomy? Bc you sound like you're on the fence with getting it done. And he's adamant of no more children.

having mine reversed years ago, I'm against it.  Most women i know, myself included had to go on a second form of BC even with the tubal to control heavy periods.  It seems to be very common post tubal.  I had an IUD  with my tubal so why not just do the iud?  Check out post tubal syndrome.  Many say it's not a real thing but I LIVED it!

I am in a similar situation but I am not sold on the tubal so I am researching the IUD for three years maybe five and then take it from there. I do understand the finality of the procedure and how you feel
