Tonight I was taking my dogs out. Usually they run to the back and do their business. Well from some odd reason the take off towards the neighbors. ( my dogs rarely run off, unless of some type of animal.)

So I take off after them. Mad because I’m wearing sandals and I’m walking through snow. I get to my two dogs and they’re sniffing some type of animal. I try to get them to come but they were amazed at this animal. So I get closer and try to get the other animal away. What I thought was a cat... was a damn opossum.

So I completely forget about the dogs and run inside.

I finally come to my senses and think “ ah crap the dogs”. Forgetting it’s icy as hell I run down the porch stairs and slip all the way down them.

I finally did get my dogs in, they’re unharmed and so is the opossum. But moral of the story, bring a flashlight out when taking the dogs out and salt the damn stairs 🤦🏾‍♀️😂
