Are we selfish? Honest opinions please

We rather focus on career development than planning to have kids! We are in our 30s, both making six figures with two houses paid full, no debts, and sufficient savings, still want be more successful and make more money, we think kids will be in the way, are we selfish? Honest opinions please!!

I think it’s more selfish to have kids for the wrong reasons. Live your life the way you want to. If kids are in the picture great! If not - great!

Not everyone wants kids. Some want them earlier than other and some want them later than other. Do Whatever you and your partner decide is best for you.

My husband and I are in the same boat!
I’m 28 and he is 32. We own a business together and are enjoying work and just being a couple.
We might start thinking about kids in a couple years, but right now we’re just enjoying life as a family of 2!

I don’t think its selfish but I do thing the hunger for money is materialistic. If the banks were to shut down or if tomorrow there was a new world order that said money had no value anymore.....what would you have to show as your success.? To me success is having a great friend circle and A happy family.!! In my personal experience with the wealthy materialistic people I know, they are miserable and bored half the time with nothing to show for after they die besides a nice house for sale and no one to pass anything down too. Thats just my opinion. Im not saying you should have kids but I just think being materialistic is kinda bad.
