MMR Vaccine

My 7 month old got the MMR vaccine last week and true to the listed side effects got a fever last night. Started low at 101, was 102 this morning and now 103.7. We’ve been giving him ibuprofen every 6 hours per the dosage instructions.

Took him to the dr today and she checked him out all over to make sure it wasn’t something else but she said it’s a reaction to the shot and he’s otherwise fine.

He’s never had a fever this high so I’m getting a little worried. Plus, we’re traveling to Ireland tomorrow (which is why he got the shot early in the first place).

Any advice or anyone go through the same? Should I be alternating Tylenol and ibuprofen?
