Throwing rocks and ruining lives.

Local to me a bunch of teenagers in a neighboring town was throwing rocks at cars. Big enough to do damage. Well someone filmed it and posted it on their fb, which someone else happened to download. The kids figured out they could be in trouble and removed their video but the person who downloaded it reposted and reported it.

This incident apparently ended up being state wide news for a few days because people in the far corners know about it. They hunted these kids down over a few days. I only know this because two of the women in my department know those teens and their parents because they're friends with their own kids.

Anyway, the point is that a grandmother of a girl who was throwing rocks contacted the person who reposted the video pleading with them to remove the video because this girl "is good" and "has a full ride to become a doctor", "this could ruin her life". (Sounds like a familiar argument, right?)

He didn't remove it and I assume that girl is at least paying to fix those cars she helped damage.

Do you think he should have removed the video to cover for those kids because they might have a shot at a full ride?
