Drug users and pregnancy ?

Hey girls, just wanted to see if anyone has been a drug user for a while then, decided to quit and if being sober made a massive increase in finding it easier to fall pregnant?

If you cannot take care of yourself first, why bring an innocent child into the world? Secondly, whomever you are asking this question for, better quit the use of harmful substances because it's completely abhorrent having to put your baby through withdrawal of any substance. Plus, now a days, CPS is directly involved and will (hopefully) remove the child from any harmful environment. 
In other words, if someone cannot quit for their own child, I don't know what else is a better reason. 
Definitely tell the person to put themself in a rehab during the pregnancy and after to disassociate from their peers and other negative influences. They will also help as much as they can with the withdrawal symptoms and the stress it causes to the unborn child. Don't try and do it alone.

Yes. I was a drug user for many many years. In my messed up way with my now ex husband I wanted a baby. I tried and tried and I couldn’t (Thankfully) But I wasn’t a bad person. I was just sick as you would say. I decided after things were really going wrong to move away and
Leave my husband. I got clean. Found now the father of my second child that is due in April. 💜🌻 Was it hard yes. But did my children help me get off and stay off of the hard drugs? Yes I would say. Because I still played with it from time to time. Apart of getting clean is playing with it and realizing that it sucks. 
*** Also** she asked for advise for herself or whomever she didn’t ask for the judgement of it. Some people aren’t as perfect as some People and actually go through stuff like this. Downgrading other woman isn’t ideal. You should try lifting each other up instead.

If youre asking if quitting will make TTC easier... the answer is yes. Quitting caffeine, tabacco and controlled substances does make falling pregnant easier and safer. 
I quit caffeine, marijuana, tabacco and vape the second I got my positive and knowing theirs a little guy depending on my sobriety has mad the temptation of going back die.

She didn't ask for the judgment or cattiness. She is probably trying to quit, or has, and is asking for advice. We don't know this woman OR what she has gone through. But yes, love, quitting the controlled and uncontrolled substances will make it easier to conceive. Please talk to your healthcare provider for more information, and if you still are having troubles with drugs, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE for yours and your baby(s) health and safety, please get fully clean and stay clean before bringing another life in this world. Just remember, you are not alone and there is help. Much love and support for you.

I know this post is old but I just wanna tell you, my husband was with a woman for 9 years. They tried to get pregnant for 6 years. They were both strung out bad. They separated. She went to rehab and he got clean too. She got pregnant within a year of being clean and we got pregnant with our son after 3 months of his sobriety..
