If you’ve had children after 35, do you NOW wish you had them earlier in life?

They say hindsight is 20 20, so I would LOVE to hear from the ladies who became mothers later in life, and now that you know what it’s like, to discuss if you feel like you’ve made the right choice, or if you wish you would had done it sooner... 🤱

I’m 34. I was in no position to have kids earlier. People can judge me and my age all they want, but I couldn’t be a stable parent earlier. I regret nothing.

Glad I waited. Have my career, got to travel the world, got to have fun in my 20’s, have a very stable home life with my husband and can afford the childhood my hard working parents couldn’t give me (not that material things and experiences are everything).

I turned 30 two months after my son was born. I never regret having him in my 30s. I spent my 20s figuring out who I was, what I wanted, making my mistakes so by the time I had my son I had it all figured out. I was financially, and emotionally prepared. I am very confident in my parenting, I don’t have FTM jitters. I can provide everything he needs without stress. I actually parent him and make decisions based on facts and knowledge not emotion. I’m in a better position overall than most are in their 20s. I could have done it in my 20s, but I know I’m doing it better in my 30s. If anyone says they did things better in their 20s than 30s they’re lying. Everyone evolves and grows as a person, everyone gets better with age not worse.

I haven't voted as I'm not over 35, 
I'm nearly 33 and our first is due very soon. 
I was definitely not ready to have her as a 20 year old. Emotionally and financially I wouldn't of been able to have supported her properly. 
I'm not keen on being an older parent when she's in her later teens, I worry about my health and being out of touch.

I'll be 35 in a few months and this weighs heavily on my mind. I'll be 50 by the time my daughter turns twenty, so if I had a kid within the next year, they'd still be in high school and I do worry that my health is so bad now, which is why we stopped ttc, how bad is it going to be in my fifties with a 20+ year old and a high school aged child?

Had my first at 30, this one is coming when I'm 36. We did not plan on waiting so long for our second, but mother nature had other ideas. Yes, I wish I had had my second a few years ago, for many reasons.  But we got pregnant with our first after a year of marriage. And I'm 100000% glad I never got knocked up by my ex!!!

I had kids at 18 and 21 and then again at 31... (I know, not quite 35) I feel like I am a better mom now than I was when I was younger. Not saying this is true for all young moms but I was far more selfish then. I will also say I’m much more tired now at 33 than I was when I was younger. 😂 I think there’s benefits to both ages and you should have kids whenever it feels right to you.

I’m 34 and pregnant with my first child. I wish I was maybe 2 or 3 younger, but I don’t wish I had kids in my 20s. I wasn’t in a place in life to have kids and don’t think I would have been a good mother. That is not to insult anyone else who had kids young, I believe anyone can be a good mom at any age, but I personally would not have been a good mom in my 20s.

Ok, not exactly what you asked but my mother had me at 36 and my dad was 38. As their child yes I wish they had me earlier as I'm 27 now and they're getting older HOWEVER their ability to parent was never in any question and they both had stable good job and earned good money.

I always say this. If i could get the exact same kids at like 30 then i would've waited. I had my oldest one month before my 19 bday. Had my youngest at 25. I fwel like i am more understanding with my youngest. Its hard to explain lol. But plus side when my oldest and middle are 18 ill be 39 ish haha then about 42 when they are all grown up😂😂
