How old let baby on bumbo seat?

My view my son had used it at 3 month old yesterday and he LOVE it!! But not sure if that good idea? 
I need your advice 💙

My guy was 10 weeks when started on bumbo, I used it at 11 weeks for Xmas pictures lol... he’s 12 weeks 1 day today.

My pediatrician said it was fine for my 3 month old to use. She has very good and steady head control though.

I think it just depends on when they're ready. My LO is not quite 3 months yet but she's nearly ready. My sister's baby wasn't really ready for it until around 5 months. I know people say they're not good for their hips, so I wouldn't let them spend a TON of time in it, but I think it's a good tool, and both of my sister's babies have loved them.

I too wanted to use one with my first born but read somewhere it could affect their spines since the seat forces their body into a certain position. So I skipped it. Now they say the same thing about swaddling and hurting baby’s legs because of the tight position baby is in. So This timeI figured what the heck, I’m gonna give one of these seats a try since my baby is chubby and probably won’t fit into a bumbo seat. He will be 4.5 months.

My little girl’s legs are too chubby for it.

I put my 3 month old in it... she didn't seen to care much for it but was able to sit in it and hold her head steady
