Do you get annoyed when babies/children cry at restaurants?

My husband and daughter & I went to eat tonight and there was a baby crying for probably 10-15 minutes, the people in the booth in front of us were complaining the entire time, even asked the waiter if there was anything he could do to “make him stop”.

For one, the mom was rocking the baby while she was eating, clearly trying to soothe the child.

This rubbed me the wrong way, as it was a family friendly restaurant and I feel as if the people around them made them feel unwelcome, including the waitstaff.

Do you get annoyed when babies/kids cry in restaurants?

Would you ever ask your waiter to ask the group to leave? (What the booth in front of us did).
