Something that's special to me is that we get a new ornament for our kids every year. You could get a new ornament for your parents that says "grandparents est. 2019" that they could leave on their tree. Not exactly this, but just an example

We played the game heads up at a family cook out. Everyone was so into the game, it was the last thing they expected. You can make your own cards on it and have it say whatever you want. If your family is into games or there are little ones, it would be fun!

When I was pregnant with my first child we took are laptop over to my mom and told her I had some pictures I took on my new camera that I got like the year before with our wedding money. So when I showed her the picture it was my ultrasound. Where we go all the pictures are put on a disc none are printed out and they won't even give you a picture of the gender.

For Christmas announcement you could wrap up a pregnancy test or an ultrasound
or maybe you can get one of those shirt that are for maternity and say baby it's Cold outside on your bump .
You could also get a onesie that says baby blank whatever your name is due such-and-such date wrap it up and give it to them or just wrap up a onesie and a rattle or something
