UK/NHS how many scans?

I’m 24 weeks pregnant just now. 
We had a 20 week anatomy scan (24th October) however we have no scans scheduled until I’m 31 weeks (9th Jan)....is this normal? 11 weeks between scans just seems a bit long to me. I have an appointment with my midwife at the GP on Christmas eve but nothing really happens at them other than using the Doppler to hear the heartbeat ? I have a high BMI and was told I would have more scans than the normal amount but I’m just wondering if I should have anything in between that has been missed? Thanks

Normally only get 2 scans one st 12 and one at 20 weeks. I had 4 miscarriages before I got my son 2 years ago and it took 9 years to have him so I was consultant let’s and had Scan every 2 weeks then he came unexpectedly at 36 weeks so this time I’m consultant led again and from 18 weeks I have a scan every 2 weeks till I deliver. I’m in the uk xx

In the uk you usually only get your 12 week scan and 20 week scan. Unless there is a reason for you to get more on the NHS then that’s it. When you have your next one at 31 weeks if they aren’t concerned about anything then that might be it until your baby is here. For example, il be getting scanned at 24 weeks this week then every 2nd week until my baby is here, due to my daughter being still born last year, but if that hadn’t happened I would only have had my 12 week then 20 week scan.

I have higher BMI too and I’ve had my anatomy scan on 1st November and my next one is 12 February! Usually you get one at 12 weeks and one at 20 week but if you have higher BMI you get an extra one around week 36 (that’s what stated in my maternity notes). I’m having one done privately at 28 weeks just so I don’t have to wait that long to see my boy!

I’m in the U.K. I’ve had 2 scans so far. My dating scan and my 20 week scan. Usually that’s it but I have to have monthly growth scans because of my premature labour on my son

Thanks everyone, glad to hear it’s normal! I was just unsure if I was maybe missing one, crazy to think only 2 scans is the normal limit!
