Those who have had a surgical one how was it?

Answer

I had a surgical abortion 5 years ago. I was not sedated at all. My morning sickness was so bad that I could’ve even keep down the Valium that they gave me. The procedure itself lasted 15 minutes and was mostly just uncomfortable. However, the cervical dilation beforehand was the most painful thing I’ve ever felt. It only lasted a minute or two, but I was definitely passing out and fought to stay conscious during those minutes. I would recommend some form of sedation (maybe IV) if you go the surgical route.
I chose surgical because I was already sick and didn’t want to take pills, feel worse than I already did, and watch everything play out at home. I was happy that I chose surgical because it was over quickly.
