I just got my BFP yesterday and started Lovenox right away. I have had two back to back miscarriages within the last year and found out I have anti phospholipid syndrome which is a blood clotting disorder where my blood clots too much and attacks the placenta. Anyway, I just started the Lovenox injections last night and it’s just terrifying. First, to have to do shots itself is scary as I never had to in my life but it also makes me feel good to know I’m helping to keep my baby alive. Today when I did it I bled a little so I used alcohol and a bandaid is that normal? I didn’t bleed when I did it last night. Could it be possible I hit a muscle and not the skin? Also it burns right after and usually goes away within 10 min or so. I have been reading some women do it once a day and but my doc prescribed me 40mg twice a day which I’m curious as to why he is having me to it that frequently. Last night I did it at 7pm and I was supposed to do it at 7am today but did it at 8 and now I’m worried. Has anyone who has had to do these injections had any bad experiences with them? Have you had healthy pregnancies? Thanks for your advice!!
