What’s best for baby to sleep at bedside?

Looking into whether I should get a rock and play or a regular bassinet. What are your experiences ? FTM here !

Rock n plays are not considered safe for babies to sleep in. A bassinet is safer but baby will outgrow it very quickly- they have a low weight limit and baby can’t sleep in it once they start rolling. When our daughter was in our room, she slept in a pack n play.

My guy did fine in the halo bassinet. Plan on using it again for this baby.

We have a bassinet and plan to transition the baby into her crib by no later than 6 months. I plan to let her nap in her crib so she will be used to it when it comes time for her to sleep in it.

I bought a playpen 🤷 was recommended by saleswoman. This way can take it anywhere with me. A crib is a hassle. Was told a bassinet is good as well.

Your baby should never sleep in a rock n play. Especially unsupervised overnight. For next to a bed, you'll want either a bassinet or a pack n play. We went with the pack n play because they last much longer than a bassinet.

Our daughter slept in her Halo next to our bed until she outgrew it. We never allowed our daughter to sleep in the rock-n-play. We used it for lounging. 🤷🏾‍♀️

We used the halo bassinets . Rock in plays aren’t considered safe for sleep, so I’d definitely say no on that. My LO used the halo until about 5 months then transitioned to crib in his room. The halo is safe until they can pull or sit up (still ok when they can roll over) so it lasted us a while & I loved it
