No period , after nexplanon removal ?

My period is irregular and has always been. It either comes a little bit early or a bit late (by a week or so). So , 2016 i got nexplanon , got it out 2017. 2018 of September i got it in, then October 4th taken out due to bad experience with it again. I have not had a period since. Is this normal? How long did it take for you guys who’ve had it removed to get a period ? I have birth control pills (Junel) which i haven’t started yet. Should this help my period start?
