I was told by my LC that I have flat small nipples, and she recommended using a shield and shells to help with feedings, as we were having trouble with latching, and I was having to pump and bottle feed in order to get something to my baby. Now, the shield has been working, so far so good... But I need to try to wean her off of it so she can get used to my breast. I'm not sure how to go about it, and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions that might help me make the transition... I'm determined to breastfeed exclusively, and even if that means I have to use a shield and deal with some sore nipples...
