Help!!!

Okay...my normal monthly menstrual period ended 10 days ago. Ever since then my boyfriend and I have been desperately trying for a baby. Today I was supposed to begin ovulation yet I wake up cramping terribly and bleeding full-force like I’m on my period again. Is this normal? Should I go to the E.R.? I really could use some advice.
