salaam ladies !!

i was wondering if women in islam are allowed to wear menstrual cups? i read a few articles and some said you could while others said the opposite. i really want to get one because of it's more positive impact on the environment, although my mother is not allowing me to get one (and i can't get it myself). apparently she says it breaks the hymen but an article online confirmed that was a myth, but she does not believe it. im just unsure, am i allowed to wear it ??
