Sonohysterography? Saline ultrasound... anyone have this done?

My doctors thinks I may have a polyp in my uterus and I have to get a Sonohysterography done.. has anyone had this procedure and is it painful? Can you take any Tylenol or Advil before it?

I had one done 2 weeks ago. I get bad cramping during but afterwards I'm fine. I have a polyp I'm getting removed on Monday.

I had one about a month ago. The actual procedure wasnt bad. I had quite a bit of discomfort after which I feel is because the saline didnt completely empty out. They had to put a lot because they did find a polyp in the back part of my uterus. I didnt have to take anything before but I didnt take acetaminophen after .

I don’t think I took anything before mine, the worst part for me was that it took the student so long to get the speculum in and my leg started to cramp up. The sono itself wasn’t that bad.
