How much time should a three week old old go between feedings?

I have a sleepy baby and I have to wake her up to feed her or else she will go hours with out eating, so how should she go between eating?

Every 2-3 hours, with one 5 hour stretch at night time is what I was told. But once my baby was 2 months old, I’d let him sleep at night and only feed him if he woke up. Now he’s 5.5 months and is waking up 1-2 times again in the night 😏

I had a sleepy baby too. I woke her up every three hours in the beginning but then my LC suggested extending to 3.5 hours so she could figure out her hunger cues on her own. Worked great!

I also have a 3 weeks old. She wakes up every 2 hours at night to nurse but during the day she sleeps for hours. Sometimes I wake her up other times I let her sleep but I don’t know what I should be doing at this point

My daughter will be 2 months the 5th. After her she gained passed her birthweight my her pedi said I can let her sleep for however much she wants. However she wakes up 1-4 hours every night ( shes a chunk lol ). For 2 nights she slept all night it was very short lived. Definitely talk to your pedi about how much your particular baby should sleep. Usually most will say after they've gained passed their birthweight it's alright for them to sleep more than 3-4 hours.
