Nicu ??

Hello moms that are 34 weeks and 4 days babies are 3 pound 5 and 3 pound 6 hopefully they grew Thursday but anyways I have to have my modi twin boys Thursday to get induced and I’m pushing no csection but my question is how long do your baby stay in the nicu or did your babies even go in the nicu I’m scared 😱

Mine came at 34+2 and were almost 6lbs each. They stay in NICU for 15 days, one of them had some trouble breathing and needed a 12 hours of lamp for jaundice. For the rest, they had to learn how the sucking reflex, which they learn in-utero between w32 and w37.
My hospital wouldn’t release babies under 36w anyway 🤷🏻‍♀️.
To leave NICU at my hospital you had some rules:
Consistent weight gain -after initial weight drop-
Being able to do their feedings without feeding tube -at least for a full day / 8 feedings in a row-
Able to regulate temp and keep oxygen levels over 97%
Above 2kg -which I think is something around 4lbs-
Overall good health condition

Following--- I am also curious! No set date for the babies to come yet. But 31 weeks and in bedrest. Making it to 34 weeks is my personal goal! I don't want them to come sooner then that.

I was 34 weeks 2 days and babies came out 4lbs 10 oz and 4lbs 6 oz. They just turned 3 weeks. One will get out this week and the other one will get out in two weeks god willing. There was a 34 weeker next to us who got out in 4 days, so it’s really hard to say. I also had a csection because after 2 hours I wasn’t going past 5 cm( I don’t think they gave me enough time.) Everyone is different. Mentally prepare yourself for all possibilities.
