Which protection do you recommend?

Pads feel like messy diapers and feel disgusting on me  annnnd I can smell them(just my opinion of pads)
Then i tried the diva cup which was too much of a learning curve and it was never a right time to really learn how to use it without leaking and feeling messy. 
So I stick with tampons🤷‍♀️ pop a liner in there and I dont feel them at all. The cup always felt bulky and big and uncomfortable to insert

For young girls getting their period for the first time, I would say pads and MAYBE tampons.
