So I had my first cervical check today at 35w2d. Doctor offered and it's my first pregnancy so I figured why not, I was curious but didn't expect anything.

She said I'm 1cm dilated, 50% and he's at a 1. Afterwards she told me I need to pay attention for any sign of active labor and prepare myself for it happening. She made it seem like it could happen any time.

I thought it was normal to be dilated and effaced at 35 weeks? And could remain like this up until my due date? Am I missing anything? Or am I worrying for nothing?
