Glucose Test? To Eat or Not to Eat?
I am 26 weeks today. I take my glucose screening test Thursday. My appointment is at 10:30, so I need to drink the drink at around 9:30am. My doctor said I do not have to eat if I am not hungry, but if I eat a high protein breakfast it will not effect the test. If I ate plain scrambled eggs with nothing added to them, would that be bad? Is it better to not eat, since I am testing early in the morning? My mom tested twice with girls and failed only the first test (she never ate prior), and tested once with my brother and passed the first time (she ate eggs) so I’m just wondering what is the best to do 🤔
