Military nurse?

I’m in high school and I’m thinking of becoming a military nurse because I want to help people and have adventure! Can anyone tell me about the job and the pros and cons?

I was a 68c in the army. They ahd me go through medic school then i went to nursing school and graduated with my lpn. Best experience of my life. Amazing school. I elarned so much when i went back for my rn i was so far ahead. I trained and worked alongside some of the best surgeons in the country. Itll givr you experiences you wont get anywhere else

If you're close to a community college that offers and ADN, go and take that program!! Get your ADN first and then join💙

Best bet is to find an rotc program and get your RN and commission as an officer. 
68C are enlisted, you deal with more stupid stuff. There is no reason to join the military as anything but an officer. I’m a 68W currently (Medic) a few classes away from applying to the Nursing Program so I can become an officer. 
Officers are paid and treated much better than enlisted.
Also from my conversations with nurses and doctors in military, nurses have better set hours, doctors (although they do get bonuses) are on call often which can mess a lot with family and vacation time.
Go to school and get your RN! I wish wish wish I could go back to Senior me and tell myself to do the same. The treatment and pay is so much better. And it is definitely worth the time in school.

i am currently a 68C. the training was amazing. i got to work at the best military hospital (BAMC). but i did not get stationed at a hospital. so all of my nursing skills are going down the drain. i highly encourage becoming a Charlie, but don’t stop there. I’m applying to become an RN through a program called AECP.

I’m currently in 68C school! I graduate in July but I would highly recommend it. Training can be hard and there’s lots of tests but it’ll set you up to be an Lpn and you can keep going to school after that!
