Dog food?

S

So my pitbull puppy is 9 months old and my boyfriend and I are feeding him a high protein high calorie muscle gainer food and we follow the recommended serving size of food to feed him by his weight but I’ve noticed he always still seems so hungry afterwards. His spine shows most of the time and sometimes his ribs show since he’s so fit(his dad is also like that) but I’m wondering if I should start feeding him a bit more food even though it goes against the recommendation of amount of food or if there’s something I could add to his food that will help him feel full and not so hungry? The brand of food we buy also sells this weight gainer(not muscle gainer) dietary liquid that basically just gives the dog more calories, would that be a good option? Or should I go with something else? I’m not looking for anything that has artificial fillers and not looking for something that’s cheap(by that I mean I want something high quality).

Also I would like to state that I know a lot of people feel a certain way about muscle gainer food in dogs and would like to reassure you that my boyfriend and I buy a brand that does not effect our dogs mood or causes any adverse reactions and is made with all natural ingredients and every ingredient is listed on the website and fully describes what each ingredient is.

We also do not buy the food specifically for the purpose of muscle gaining in him, he is naturally very scrawny and was unhealthy looking before we started him on his current brand of food. We buy this certain brand because we believe that it is the most honest brand of dog food about their ingredients unlike store bought dog food brands.
