My baby has been breastfed since birth without an issue for over 13 months. But the last couple of weeks I developed a pretty bad infection on my right nipple that makes it impossible to feed him on that one. We had been doing fine with feeding only on the left side but now I’ve gotten hurt on my left nipple as well, doctor says it’s not an infection (the one on my left) but the last two days it’s been excruciating to feed him... right now he is trying to nurse to sleep I’m sobbing because it hurts so badly and because I am so frustrated it is taking this long to heal.. Not really sure why but he hasn’t slept for three night on a row.. which has me exhausted and last night I even developed a fever.. I’m guessing I’m getting sick from the lack of sleep.. it’s been a pretty shitty week and I just needed to get it out of my chest. Has anyone ever been through an infection like this? Any tips? How did you deal with it?
