worried mom😩 27 weeks but babes is in the 78th percentile????

I had an U/S today at my appointment and while doctor had said everything is looking great and myself and baby girl are in perfect health ... he also said she is measuring in the 78% range ? He told me that everything is still ok at this point and never caused me any despair however as a first time mama I’m full of anxiety , did anyone else go through this/have any knowledge to shed on baby girl? I’m concerned that this is very large for this stage in pregnancy or if it will continue to increase until she makes her appearance ?

78% is still within one standard deviation.  I would not over think it, statistically that is still very normal.

Measuring weight or length? Babies grow at different rates, at your next appointment her growth may have slowed placing her in a lower percentile. Your doc will prob only see cause for concern if she’s consistently in a higher percentile, or if there is a dramatic change, which is prob why your doc said everything is okay right now. Also, it’s difficult to accurately measure a baby in the womb, especially for weight. You can definitely find tons of stories of women who were told their baby was going to be 8+ lbs and the baby is born an average weight. My doctor doesn’t even discuss percentiles which I’m glad because it just makes things stressful and confusing!

I don’t think they are too accurate. Mine was only 65th % last time and she said that’s perfectly fine! I wouldn’t worry

I think I’d be more worried if baby was very small like under the  10th percentile or very large like 90th. You should be good! Don’t stress

Our little man is in the 95th percentile for every measurement and they weren't overly worried.

Weight estimates via ultrasound are just that, estimates. They can be off by 20% (sometimes more). At 28 weeks my daughter measured in the 80th percentile, at 34 she was in the 60th and when she was born at 38 weeks she was in the 25th. You're baby is growing well, there's nothing to be concerned about.

My girl has been in the 89-95 percentile my entire pregnancy. I see a high risk doctor(as well as my midwife)bc I had preeclampsia with my first and she was measuring under the entire time. So for me, this is a good thing because it may mean I won’t get pre-e again(small babies are usually a first sign). And the high risk doctor has told me it’s good she’s in that percentile. He also said I could just be a week off as well. I’m pretty sure that’s nothing to worry about😊❤️
