How important is it to wash brand new baby clothes before they wear them?

I still wash MY clothes before I wear them. Of course I’ll do it for my son.

They put all kinds of chemicals and dye on those fabrics. Not to mention whatever the clothes came into contact at the factory, in transit, and at the store. I wash every single fabric item before I use it for my children or myself. Clothes, bibs, sheets, blankets, etc.

You should wash everybody’s clothes before they wear them. Can you imagine the number of people that don’t wash their hands after using the bathroom that have touched them? 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢

My husband and I wash our clothing before we wear them so of course I wash our daughter's clothing before she wears them. 🤷🏾‍♀️ I think it is very important. Our baby girl is 13 months and we still wash her clothing before she wears it. We plan to keep doing it.

Our daughter is 2.5 years old and I wash everything we buy for her (clothes, bed stuff, dishes, cups, stuffed animals on very delicate cycle so they don’t get beat up....) because you never know who or what has touched it and left whatever germs on it.

I unexpectedly had my daughter a month early and hadn’t gotten around to washing hers yet and she was fine. I mean, do it if you can just in case but I wouldn’t stress too hard about it either.
